Hi, I’m Rishi Ashar, a digital product designer passionate about creating user-friendly experiences that combine Creativity, Technology, and Personality.

I am currently pursuing my Master’s in User Experience Design at the University of Toronto. Before this, I worked as a UX design intern at WeHear, a startup in India featured on Shark Tank India Season 2.

How It All Started

My love for design started early. As a kid, I spent hours sketching, painting, Origami and experimenting with calligraphy , Though my handwriting made it more of a guessing game 😅.

Everything changed when I got my first computer at the age of 10. I unleashed my inner artist on MS Paint, taught myself Photoshop through YouTube tutorials (shoutout to those random creators), and made quirky animations in Adobe Flash (RIP Flash).It sparked my curiosity about how technology could transform creativity into something impactful.

While pursuing my computer science degree, I discovered UX design—a field that perfectly blends art, problem-solving, and logic. It felt like the ideal place where my creative spark and technical background could finally team up, and I haven’t looked back since.

When I’m not designing, I explore the world through photography or listen to my favorite rap Songs. Photography helps me find inspiration in everyday life, and rap reminds me of the power of rhythm and storytelling. These are both things I bring into my work.
